The app

PoRaBar stores everything locally on your device — favourites, listening history, liked songs and settings. Nothing leaves your device to a PoRaBar server, because there isn’t one. (Favourites and progress can sync across your own devices via your private iCloud.)

The app talks directly to a few public services so it can do useful things:

• Apple iTunes Search & Lookup — podcast artwork and episode lists.
• Apple Marketing RSS — the per-country “Top podcasts” charts.
• radio-browser.info — the global directory of 50,000+ stations.
• The radio streams & podcast feeds themselves — when you press play, your device connects directly to the broadcaster.

These calls go from your device to those services directly; PoRaBar isn’t a proxy. What they log is governed by their own privacy policies.

This website

porabar.com is a static site with an interactive demo that runs in your browser. There is:

• No analytics (no GA, no Plausible, no Fathom).
• No cookies set by us.
• No third-party trackers.
• No newsletter, no contact form, no signup of any kind.

Share links (porabar.com/p/…) decode entirely in your browser — the shared item travels inside the link itself, nothing is stored server-side. The liked-song page asks Apple’s iTunes Search for a 30-second preview; that request goes straight to Apple.

Purchases

The 60-day trial and the one-time $2.99 purchase are handled by Apple via StoreKit. Apple tells PoRaBar a yes/no answer via the receipt — we never see your name, email, payment details or country.

Changes

If this ever changes — for example if PoRaBar gains a feature that needs a server — this page is updated. In one sentence: PoRaBar collects nothing about you.
